Agility

Agility is a fast, fun and often competitive sport for you and your dog to play. Agility consists of various obstacles for your dogs to run through, over or on. It tests not only your dog's physical fitness and stamina but your training skills!
We run weekly rolling classes during the evenings in the summer and weekends in the winter. If you would like to join us we run a four week training package where you will be trained on a one to one basis (or you can bring a mate) to build the skills needed to join our weekly classes when a space becomes available.
If you have previous experience, this time is used to assess you and your dog so we can slot you in to an appropriate class.
Dogs need to be 10 months or over.

Hoopers

Hoopers is a new and fun activity that is similar to agility however the course consists of low impact hoops and tunnels to run through - no jumping here! It is more inclusive than agility as it is not as physically demanding for dog or handler. It is a great alternative for retired agility dogs or foundation for puppies who are aspiring agility dogs!

Scentwork

Scentwork is a recent introduction to the world of dog activities and sport. The training resembles that which is given to highly specialized ‘sniffer’ dogs searching for drugs and explosives, and through fun and games, develops your dog’s natural scenting abilities.  Scentwork training involves teaching the dog to search for a hidden target scent, and to 'alert' to his owner as to its exact whereabouts. Owners learn to read their dogs’ body language and trust their dogs’ noses – in scentwork the dog is the expert! By working with their dogs in this way, owners become acutely attuned to their dogs, and are allowed a glimpse into the invisible world of scent, which is so much a part of our dogs’ lives.
Classes run weekly at Llanarth Village Hall on a Monday evening.

Mantrailing

Mantrailing is a great physical and mental workout for your dog as they navigate all manner of surfaces and environments to follow and locate their lost human.  It is an activity that is available to all dogs and can be easily adapted to every skill and mobility level of the dog and the handler.  It's not only the dogs who have a great day out - the handlers do too!  We have a fabulously welcoming and supportive group of trailing enthusiasts, most of whom are out trailing every week! If you haven't tried it before be assured you be made welcome and find a whole new group of friends for you and your dog!
To join our trailing groups you need to complete an introduction session with us. These are advertised on our Facebook page when we have availability to fit more people in to our weekly sessions. If you would like to be added to our waitlist, please message us.
